Albertus Magnus College Summer Camps
Summer 2024
Summertime at Albertus means enriching opportunities with our amazing faculty and staff. For the Summer 2024, we are pleased to offer three enriching experiences for your student.
Experience An Albertus Education
Nursing | Monday, June 24 ⚊ Tuesday, June 25
Albertus Magnus College's Nursing program is offering an exciting nursing-focused
camp designed for high school juniors and seniors eager to learn more about the nursing
profession. Campers will experience firsthand what nurses do through a visit to a
healthcare facility, gain valuable insights from guest speakers who are practicing
registered nurses (RNs), and will be equipped with life-saving skills through hands-on
CPR training. This is a great opportunity for high school students interested in the
nursing profession.
Criminal Justice | Wednesday, June 26
Criminal Justice Camp allows students to be exposed to the variety of career paths
within the criminal justice field. This event is open to rising high school juniors
and seniors (classes of 2025 & 2026). Students will have the opportunity to attend
sessions on Crime Scene Investigation, State Police, Fingerprint Dusting, K-9 and
Bomb Squad Demonstrations, and Dynamics of local and federal law enforcement agencies.
Political Science | Monday, July 8 ⚊ Tuesday, July 9
This camp is designed to help students learn about, and experience, the various decisions,
strategies, and efforts that contemporary political campaigns make in order to position
a candidate to get elected to the office of the presidency. Students will develop
a political campaign with the intention of getting their candidate elected to office.
In the end, we will have a campus-wide election where we will see which team has run
the most successful campaign and has earned themselves a clear road to the White House.
